I did not get around to posting your package yet since my boyfriend asked me to move in, it was all go. we had less then a day to pack everything up, 6 hour drive there, pack everything, 6 hour drive back, moved house in less then 24 hours. I promse you I will send on thursday ok hon? Please forgive me..

Just a very quick post, as I am at my boyfriends sons computer, he let me use it.
My boyfriend asked me to stay with him on his farm and asked me to move in with him, me and my boys and my baby (cat) and of course ya'll know what my answer was.
No pictures to post yet.. very long story..
My house I was staying in Kaitaia? It was broken into and several things were stolen.. I wont list them, too many, but the police said it was an inside job, that someone knew where to look and what to take.
My boyfriend and I believe it was my daughter and her friends.. here is why..
My daughter has told me I am dead to her. All because I asked her to ask my mother to send down some fabric I forgot to collect from her. My daughter went "insane" and told me I am dead to her, I no longer am wanted by her and her boyfriend sent me very cruel and nasty texts on my phone. They both sent very nasty texts.
I better go now, I have to meet my boys at the bus stop, I hope you all are well and I miss you all very much.

I am sorry Allena and Cath, Blogger and Hello will not let me send pictures today either. I will be leaving for 2 weeks to spend some time with my fiancee on saturday. My boys will be with their father during the New Zealand school holidays for 2 weeks, so I am spending time with my beloved. I will miss you all very much!!! I hope to go to a yarn store to collect some goodies for R.A.O.K's and for my SP5 I spoil!!

5 hours later and lets see if blogger will post for me now..
Guess what my boys and I did this weekend??? We decided to teach some yarn a lesson! We grabbed some yarn, drowned it.. washed it with soap as it was gasping for air.. I am sure it said some naughty words so I added a little soap to wash it's mouth in for being naughty! Then we tortued the yarn with colors and made our yarn sit in the corner over night! It did not say a word.. not one word.. just as well or we would have made it sit in corner longer! We were spooning in the colors to make the yarn beg for mercy.. but I think the yarn actually liked it!!! Colors? Blue, orange, rasberry, yellow, green and purple.. my youngest son decided the spoon was not worthy so he tipped the whole cup over his piece of yarn LOLPictures? I hear you say? nah... you dun wanna see the yarn we tortured???Matt? If you are still around.. How do I change my percentage bars? I do not like how they are centered, I want the coloring on the left side, but how do I do that please hon?Mp3 players..I forgot to mention that they hold upto 60 songs and you can upload them from your computer via usb cable, they also have a built in radio and little voice recorder. Like to have my migraine? I know I should not be at my computer, but my favorite blogs and then some were calling out to me..I feel too lonely without you my knitting friends and miss my fiancee.

I have decided to try and sell a some mini mp3 players, they are $NZ90, and I will donate $20 to the S.P.C.A I love animals, and yesturday when I went to visit my dear friend, I saw a very hungry mommy dog scavenging around for food.. my heart broke.. I had tears in my eyes.. I would have taken her home to feed her but she has puppies somewhere. If anyone wants to help me, please buy one.. I will take photo's of me handing over the money to this very worthy cause. I have been given 4 to sell, in colors Red, silver and black, well 5, but I bought a black one.

I am reading that many are spining with a drop spindle? I have wanted to try spining ever since I was very young (feel very old at the moment) when I saw my late nan (R.I.P nan, I may have never liked you bossying us around but we did love you) spin with yarn 20+ years ago. She taught me how to knit bobbles (bobbles = little knitted balls like popcorn sticking out of your knitting) as they fasinated me and would always ask her how to do it till she gave in. She had a huge (well looked huge to me I was very young) wooden spining wheel and would always watch her spin. When she past away I never saw the spining wheel again. So out of sight = out of mind for spining.
Now my other nan who I found out loved to knit too, when she past away she left her wooden spining wheel with my mother. Mum was going to sell it.. I asked her if I could try it before she does, she was hesitant, but aggreed. I have not tried it yet. It scares me. But it's waiting for me if my mother does not sell it.
Is drop spining easy? Where can I get some from? Ohhhh SP?? I will do what you said in the comments post, I honestly forgot, been too busy missing my fiancee Tee Hee!! ;c)

Thank you Allena for sharing the link to these percentage bars! I too have always wanted some! They are very cute and alot of fun! Ya'll think I am over doing my blog? I don't care I want my blog to be alot of fun looking, I love jazzy it up and I love colors! Hence why my blog is different colors when I post, I LOVE it! ;c)
As per usual I walked into town today with my knitting and an elderly lady stopped me and asked me "knitting as you walk? Lovely!" " I used to knit socks alot but now just knit booties and give them away, one must keep busy somehow" and giggled.. She was very sweet made me feel proud to knit in veiw of everyone, yea I get funny looks sometimes, but I do not care, I just wear a smile and knit away. I really must make some little tote bags for my knit as I walk projects!
My baby is very close by me today..why? Maybe because I have been hit by a migraine today, she walked into my bedroom and meowed in a howling tone, maybe growling me for being on the computer? Maybe, but *there are always buts!* I am in a mood to blog. So she has curled up close by me on my bed, I wish I could speak cat sometimes and tell her how much I value her friendship and love her with all my heart.

I am like officially over yesturday, I felt like a nut, goodness knows what ya'll thought, but hey, we all tend to feel silly at times, and here I thought only our children can be hyper. I feel hyper sometimes if I am late taking my meds, or if I am having a good day, I love my good happy days.
So please excuse me acting foolish yesturday, I had fun anyways ;c)

Is there such a thing as bright and pastel varigated sock yarns? Not that bright that you need those eye safety head gear, but bright to cheer your days and soft pastels like baby colors. Looking in my stash, I mostly have dark colors.. must have been a stage I was going through with my ex husband years ago..he would make me feel cheep and like trash. But now I am happily in love and engaged to a ex navy marine!! How on earth was I so lucky to find Murray I do not know.
Would anyone like a trade for yarn for yarn? I love knitting socks and would like to open my stash to more fun colors ;c)

I am knitting these right now in a varigated blue yarn, Then I saw these and started them straight away in a pretty purple opal yarn, I forget the name of this yarn, but will post a picture of them soon!! No, I am not having an orgasim, I am having a moment!! Who else would when packages with "yarn" written on the box?!?!

The note inside said SP!!!!

Look how pretty!!!! Oh my gowsh!! It is soooo soft!!! The note said my SP washed it in baby shampoo and soaked it in conditioner!! Ohhh SP!!! This box is full to the top packed with this beautiful yarn!!!My SP even wrote down the needles sizes needed to knit this yummy yarn in! We kiwi's mostly go by *cough*metric*cough* and she wrote it down for me!
Thank you SP!!!! I LOVEEEE this yarn!! Glad you know I have very sensitive skin ;c) My SP is sooo sweet!!
I think I am on to her tho...I have worked these things out...

1. She loves to knit like us, that is why she is in SP5 and sent me yarn,
2. She lives in U.S.A, San Deigo (please forgive me if I spelt name wrong!)
3. She has a boyfriend and works with cheetah's!

Firstly I would like to thank you all very much for your very heartwarming wishes on my engagement! I never thought I would get so many comments! I see that Nathania from Purls beyond price is engaged too!! Please wish her all the best too!!! ;c)

Secondly..My very first RAOK!!!!! It's arrived!!! I was told about it as we wondered why it was taking so long, my dear friend Allena was getting very worried, so was I! But read on and you will see why!!!

My first ever RAOK!! Thank you Allena!!!! I love all the goodies you sent to me!! I am very much going to try dyeing just like she did!!!! I believe this koolaide you can drink? My children will be into that LOL If it dyes your yarn, goodness knows what it does to your insides? I am off to find Allena's post and see how she did this!

Yes, it is true, I am now officially engaged ;c)

My boyfriend came up this weekend, his weekend off, he asked me to marry him, and of corse I said yes. He bought me this most beautiful engagement ring today. I could not speak, I had tears in my eyes and felt lightheaded. My ~~boyfriend~~ fiancee said I better not faint becase I was mindblown lol..Murray is his name. It will be a long engagement, as he must wait for his divorce to be final, which I do not care, we are officially engaged and will wait for him till the end of time! Murray said people usually get a diamond for an engagement ring, but he knows I LOVE the color blue and I love set in stones, he saw this one and tried it on, it fit perfectly! So forgive me for not posting for 4-5 days, when Murray is here I will spend every moment with him, bugger the computer! I am very happy, hope you are too for me ;c)

Not the real fudge..but..well..I have come to the conclusion that I am not allowed to post pictures. I have tried several times to use Hello, dear Debi Tried to help me, I have been trying for the last few days (I do not give up easy) to try to post my knitting pictures, but it simply will not work *sigh* I tried my friend. I really want to "show off" my work, if anyone has any other ideas..please let me know, I would be ever so grateful.
Me and my boys all have the flu, all home sick, so I do not feel like doing much. I was too busy runing and taking care of my boys that I never thought about myself..up all night with my boys, then today..BAM..the flu hits me. BLAH! We are NOT ment to get sick! We are in the "winterless North" Wayyyy up high on the tip of New Zealand where we are close to the equator..it is NOT ment to get so blimey cold! I have vowed I will not swear on my blog, I have a good friend who is christian who reads my blog sometimes, so out of respect for her I will mind my p's and q's. In real life I do not swear..well if someone really upsets or someone really hurts me I might tell them where to go and feel terrible after. I have only ever done it once, to my ex mother in law.
It feel like heaven to know some people actually read my blog, I feel like I am not alone, in real life I have no friends, this is the honest truth. So being here I hope to make one or two friends..I hope. I have lived a very sheltered life. I do not miss what I never had, but do wish I had something now. My children and my baby keep me alive. My baby is right beside me sitting on the windowsil in the warmish sun. My baby,kitty, always seems to know when mummy is ill, how do cats know? Whenever I am having a down day (I suffer with depression) she is always beside me, or when I am ill or have a migraine etc..she is ALWAYS there, either beside me or cuddled into me or on my lap purring. I get happy tears in my eyes and pat her, she "talks" to me every chance she gets. I love you my baby, a photo of my baby is in my profile if you would like to see her.

For a stitch marker swap!

I have never made them before, but have admired them for awhile now, I missed out on one swap, but I made it for this swap. I am very excited, it looks like alot of fun! Now I just need to find a place that sells those pin head thingies here in NZ! ;c)

Should I..?

Knit my lace sweater in sock yarn? I honestly do not know.. well.. I found this most beautiful lace sweater, 4 lines to the pattern, but I have no lace yarn at all. I cannot find any here in New Zealand. But I do have some sock yarn..
My daughter says "you cannot knit a sweater in sock yarn..it is for socks!" But it is the only yarn I have suitable.. What should I do..?
I still have not worked out how to take photos to post here yet, I am sure everyone is thinking this is a boring blog, but if you do not like then do not read..right?
With the totes, thank you for your suggestions, I have tried those make up purses, I found they did not last long..
1, The plastic slip inside them tends to ripe from my dpns,
2, I had trouble knitting and walking holding onto the tote, the handle was not big enough to fit over my wrist.
I have a small wrist, and most handles just allow a couple fingers to grip it.
I feel like my head is swooning over all these questions that keep popping into my head! Is there such a thing as a knitting physicatrist?

Are knitters so very friendly? Have you seen the loving comments people have left me? I feel very loved. I have never felt so loved before. I would walk into town knitting away and some people would even smile at me and watch me knit as I walk by. One lady in a store asked me what am I knitting, I said socks, she took my knitting off me and yelled to the other ladies to come over, they all were very intriged. They complimented me. I felt so good.
I need to make myself some little tote bags somehow, so I can carry a skein of yarn and my dpn's and go for my walks, I am proud to knit in public, I love to show people what I am knitting if they come up to me. I wish I knew how to make some, I would make afew and have them handy with my sock knitting in each pouch, so I can just grab one before heading out the door for a walk. But.. how do I make them? Are they easy or hard to make? Do I need a pattern? Where do I find a pattern? And most of all, would the sewing machine like me? I tried to use sewing machines before but it never turned out. Hmm..
At least I am feeling much better now if nothing else. I can actually eat alittle now. My throat is still sore, I feel like a baby just having soft food, but hey, this strep throat thing was not very nice at all.

Dear SP,
I have no idea what sizes of circulars are out there, I have no idea what sizes are there, but would love anything you might send. I have never owned any at all.. yes I am a circrular virgin! Please do not tell anyone..I feel embarrased enough let alone still feeling ill. I do however love to knit socks and hats and sweaters..
I think my antibiotics are finally starting to kick in, my throat and ear still hurt but not as much. I have not been able to eat anything for almost 48 hours, I am hungry but not hungry, if that makes any sence.
My boyfriend rings me to cheer me up, he is so sweet to me, treats me like a woman should be treated..with respect, love, dedication. I do not know how I managed to be so lucky when all my life I have been mistreated by men.
Going to rest now or he will growl me.

That is me, why is it when you are ill you always feel worn out. Off course my doctor gave me pills to take, why are they always huge pills when you have a sore throat? *shrugs*
I just wanted to say hello to everyone and thank you for the kind thoughts you have left on my blog, knowing that people care when a fellow knitter is ill makes me feel better. I am going back to rest and knit more on my sock, it is very relaxing.

Ode to today

Not too much to say today, I do not feel well. I went to the doctor's today with a very sore ear and throat. I can barely eat or talk. Even having a hard time drinking my coffee. I had to get a taxi home because the wind was very painful blowing in my ear. I tried very hard to find some circular knitting needles, but no one here sells them so I settled for straights as always. At least I found some nice knitting patterns, 10 for $1. I had the chemist ladies admire my sock knitting tho.. they could not believe it and loved my knitting.. yes I go everywhere with my knitting, I do not care what anyone thinks, I am proud to knit in public. And so far I have had very nice remarks.
Well, I am going to battle another coffee and tackle some knitting.. I miss my borfriend too..

I cannot wait to get started!! I missed out on the first one, I sure as heck will not miss out on part 2!! I love to knit socks for other people. I have lost count how many I have made, but who is counting when you love to knit socks??? I even knit socks walking into town and back, walking my son's to and from the school bus, watching t.v on sofa and in bed. My cat tends to play with my yarn at times.. she even chews my yarn and snaps it in half!!!! GrRrR.. but I love her!! I cannot imagine life without her. We are in tone with each other. Well I hear my dpn's calling out to me so I gotta go knit! Toodles!!!! ;c)

My friend that I was teaching to knit socks? Has just finished her very first sock last night!! She was so excited she was waving it in the air singing "my first sock!!" She then said just one more to knit... till I handed her 4 more skeins of yarn to knit more socks with (cheeky grin) She jumped up from her chair and gave me a huge hug and thanked me. Now I have her hooked on knitting socks!
I visit my mum every week.. I caught her knitting herself a sleeveless vest now after knitting my dad his socks!
Am I knit alien taking over peoples spare time to make 'em knit or what?!?!

Yes, I have allergies to the beautiful mohair ;c(

Oh...my...goodness....I think I just kitchenered? Looks darn close to kitchener if you ask me! I found the most wonderful tutorial on it that explains in more depth..tried it..and Voila! I am so proud of myself that I almost had goosebumps ontop of goosebumps! I litterally felt little pin pricks all over when I saw what I did! I do wish I could show you.. Maybe now I can finish my sock toes I have had sitting around for several months because I could not make the toe look seamless.

Ok, I was going to post some photos of my SIP's, but I need to work out how to resize them as they are far too big! I have almost finished a sock in the rasberry/strawberry opal varigated yarn I was sent awhile ago. On saturday I started to teach my dear friend how to knit socks. She is having a blast! She is my 2nd person I have taught now. She has never knitted socks before, and I am having great enjoyment teaching her. (I self taught myself to knit socks too)
First I taught my mother to knit socks by hand, she has only knitted them on machine, Now I am teaching my dearest friend (I have known her for 12-13 years?), next I am determined to teach myself how to kitchener stitch the toes.. one day..

How much this certain person makes me feel when we start to chat. She is warm, free spirited, friendly and a boost to my well being. It's like she has a touch of gold, do not get me wrong this person I would love to get to know and be friends with. Just thinking out loud. If I put this feeling on my blog I wont forget the shine this person gives me.
My boyfriend and I (I think) are back together, this time I will try not to be so dependant on my feelings for him because I do not want to be hurt again.
As for my knitting? I could not resist.. I just had to cast on for another sock! It's not that I need another on the needles. I just had to cast on, the skein was screaming out to me! Honest! It's a berry color pastel Opal yarn, kinda like the color on my blog? I LOVE the color blue dearly.. but.. I am falling in love with this color now too. Two timing with colors? nah.. just do not tell the color blue!!

For Allena - German Group I love this german group, altho I cannot speak or read german, they have some of the most beautiful sock patterns! They post for us in english so we do not feel left out and enjoy knitting with them, they are great!! ;c)
Grr after 7-8 tries I finally got the link right LOL.. I hope it works for you Allena, had to make the link the hard way, wouldn't work otherwise.

To everyone who has made me feel very welcome back to R.A.O.K. I feel the warmth and friendship this group is very well known for. Everyone is very caring, I cannot get over the love in this group. Thank you very much everyone. It is truely wonderful to be back online and to be amoungst such loving people.
Right now I am knitting 5 pairs of socks. One from our german knitting group, one from Lisa of Wildhorse farm, 2 pairs of just plain knitting (was too lazy to make up my mind which pattern) I could not decide! I guess that is the problem of having so many sock patterns?? You can never have too many!
I have started to go for little walks again with my knitting pouch, knit and walk. Gives me great pleasure and time seems to go by faster. I spent 2 days trying to unwind a skein of 50g sock yarn, that is what happens when to have several sock wip's in one bag sleeping together. Lets not go there heehee..
Anywho if you like Ican post some pix of my sip's. Socks in Progress.

Why Blog?

It is a form of therapy for me. I do not know if anyone remembers me, but I was sockkitten, I forget my blog address etc too much has happened since then. I have divorced my husband, moved 6 hours away from him with my children to start fresh. He still tries to verbally abuse me, putting me down. Then I tried a online dating thingy.. the people there seemed really nice, we would talk and laugh, they wanted to see my photo so I sent it and never heard back from them. Then one guy just wants sex from me nothing more. No wonder my ex husband had sex with me then rolled off me like nothing happened. I am just a fck post for men. Thank goodness I have my knitting, I can stay home where no one can see me and quietly knit.. at least my children, teddy and cat love me for who I am and what I look like.. I am going to knit now before I cannot see through my tears..

I am very happy!

I just got accepted into 2 of my most favorite groups!!! 6 sox knitalong and Mustersocken knitalong!! 2 great sock knitting knitalongs!! This is one very happy day!! :)
Now checking up I was also accepted to join in the Secret Pal 5 group! This day is getting better! Watch out SP5 here I come!!!!!

My goodness I feel wonderful to be back online! I am slowly finding my knitalongs I belonged to last year. I had to leave the internet world in order to get my life back on track with my children. I am not recently divorced and moved away to start a brand new life with my children. I moved to be closer to my parents. I now visit my mom every tuesday and we have our own little craft day together. We knit, we quilt, watch tv and drink tea and coffee together. This means so much to me. I feel like I am finally bonding with my mom, something I have always wanted to do as my dad and I are very close already.
Now I just need to remember how to add links etc again ;)
